Federal Life, Swiss Re, and Reframe Financial join forces for digital-first insurance solution

Federal Life Insurance Company, a provider of insurance and annuity products, has partnered with Swiss Re, a global reinsurer, and Reframe Financial, a top InsurTech company, to introduce Reframe LifeStage.

This innovative insurance plan is designed for millennial and Gen X employees, offering a digital-first approach to achieving greater financial security.

The partnership aims to address the evolving needs of customers by providing a hybrid policy that combines Indexed Universal Life insurance with cash value and long-term care (LTC) benefits. Reframe LifeStage offers a completely digital, responsive, and fast buying experience, designed to fit into the busy lives of modern families. The policy will grow in value over time to meet customers’ changing requirements.

Federal Life Insurance Company has a long history of protecting families with its diverse range of insurance products. Swiss Re, with its 155 years of experience, is a global leader in reinsurance, insurance, and risk management solutions. Reframe Financial focuses on helping families prepare for and manage the financial and emotional challenges of aging through its innovative insurance products and services.

The new product will undergo a six-month soft launch period, limited to a select group of distributors before it becomes more widely available later this year. Currently approved in 34 states, LifeStage is accessible through worksite employer groups and associations.

The partnership eliminates invasive underwriting practices, such as lab tests and interviews for applicants under age 66. This allows employees to apply online and receive a personalised decision within minutes.
