Global institutional participation in digital assets set to soar as PYOR raises $4m

PYOR

PYOR (Power Your Own Research), a firm focused on the provision of high-fidelity data and insights for the assets industry, has raised $4m in seed funding.

The successful funding round was led by Castle Island Ventures and attracted participation from other notable investors, such as Hash3, Antler, Future Perfect Venture, Force Ventures, CoinSwitch Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, and renowned angel investor Balaji Srinivasan.

PYOR prides itself on providing comprehensive and reliable insights for the digital assets industry. Unlike traditional asset classes, the digital asset segment is dominated by retail investors. Consequently, the infrastructure for decision-making at an institutional level has been somewhat lacking. PYOR seeks to bridge this gap with its robust data infrastructure and insightful analysis, supporting the growth of global institutional participation in digital assets.

The new funding will be utilised to amplify the expansion of PYOR’s core infrastructure and product platform. The focus will be on enhancing the interpretation layer for digital assets and promoting global institutional engagement in this space. This will be facilitated through the delivery of high-fidelity data and insights complemented by top-tier execution. The capital infusion will also go towards team expansion and the creation of new roles within the organisation.

Krishna Hegde, co-founder of PYOR, said, “Since launching PYOR last year, we’ve been laser-focused on building the industry standard for digital asset platforms. We look forward to leveraging the capital raised to strengthen our mission and continue developing in the global digital assets ecosystem.”

Sean Judge, general partner at Castle Island Ventures, said, “The PYOR team is building critical auditable infrastructure for the crypto industry. We are thrilled to partner with Krishna, Sarmad, Sharan, and Yadunandan.”

PYOR was founded in August 2022. Since its inception, the team has strived to deliver crucial insights on digital assets through a custom-built desktop analytics interface. The founding team, with over five decades of combined experience within both the digital assets and traditional finance sectors, will continue to utilise their expertise to ensure mainstream adoption of digital assets.

Stacklok, a company focused on bringing security solutions to developers working with open-source software, has raised $17.5m in a Series A raise.
