AntChain has joined forces with Intel to develop a privacy-preserving computing platform specifically designed for machine learning applications.
The AntChain Massive Data Privacy-Preserving Computing Platform (MAPPIC) utilises trusted execution environment (TEE) technology and offers extensive AI training data protection capabilities.
AntChain is a leading blockchain technology brand within Ant Group, a Chinese enterprise owned by the internationally recognised tech behemoth, Alibaba. The cutting-edge MAPPIC software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform leans heavily on Intel’s Software Guard Extensions (SGX) security technology, Intel’s BigDL open source distributed deep learning libraries, and the Ant Group’s Occlum operating system. MAPPIC also incorporates AntChain services, supporting application security audits and distributed key management.
Eyeing future advancements, AntChain plans to incorporate additional security technologies, including Intel’s Trusted Domain Extensions (TDX).
Digital technology business CTO at Ant Group, Zhang Hui, expressed the company’s dedication to enhancing privacy-preserving computing technologies such as TEE. He stated, “Over the past several years, Ant Group has been dedicated to the exploration and development of privacy-preserving computing technologies such as TEE, to enable secure and reliable industry collaboration in Web3, AI and other technology areas.”
Ant Group also revealed an impressive track record, having submitted more than 1,000 patent applications for privacy-preserving computation technologies in the previous year alone.
