Cybersecurity startup Nokod Security nets $8m

Nokod Security, a forward-thinking firm specialising in securing low-code/no-code custom applications and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), has entered the spotlight with some exciting news to share.

Nokod Security has successfully raised a substantial $8m seed round. The investors include Acrew Capital, Meron Capital and Flint Capital, renowned for their solid investment history in leading firms across data protection, software verification, and cybersecurity sectors such as Exabeam, Mitiga, Laminar, Socure, and more.

With a unique focus on enhancing the security of in-house low-code/no-code custom applications and RPA, Nokod Security offers a platform that can effectively scan for security and compliance issues, providing a much-needed layer of security in the rapidly growing low-code/no-code domain.

The funds garnered in the recent round will be utilised to expand Nokod Security’s presence into the United States market. In addition, the funds will be funnelled towards growing the R&D teams and supporting innovative research into security vulnerabilities prevalent in the low-code/no-code space.

Recognising the security loopholes and compliance risks presented by the booming low-code/no-code and RPA platforms, co-founders Yair Finzi and Amichai Shulman established Nokod to address this gap. Their platform provides a comprehensive overview of application inventories, identifies security issues, and offers auto-remediation, thus accelerating digital transformation for businesses. The company is reportedly in discussions with several Fortune 500 companies.

Yair Finzi, co-founder and CEO of Nokod Security, highlighted, “In today’s world, application development is both time-consuming and costly, exacerbated by the anticipated threefold increase in the shortage of full-time software developers by 2025. Our product ensures 100% secure citizen development within enterprises.”

Speaking about the investment, Mark Kraynak, founding partner at Acrew Capital, said, “Low-code/no-code apps are being widely deployed, but the shared security model only helps customers up to a certain point. This is a huge looming security problem, and Acrew is excited to back a founding team at Nokod that can solve it.”
