Sustainable energy giant Vestas, and modular payment infrastructure provider Mangopay, have fortified their partnership.
Vestas, the world’s leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, partners with Mangopay, a platform-specific payment infrastructure provider. Their goal is to revolutionise the payment infrastructure for Covento, Vestas’ B2B marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of parts and services across numerous renewable energy technologies.
The partnership expansion aims to streamline and refine the payment flows of Covento. By leveraging Mangopay’s expertise, Covento aims to emulate the seamless payment experience of B2C e-commerce platforms, making procurement and payment processes simpler for its users.
As a global leader, Vestas designs, manufactures, installs, and services onshore and offshore wind turbines across the globe. The firm is renowned for its smart data capabilities and its commitment to delivering best-in-class wind power solutions.
On the other hand, Mangopay, established in 2013, is a top-tier provider of platform payment solutions. They cater to numerous business models and workflows, ranging from pay-in to payout, with their programmable e-wallet solution.
Covento, launched initially in France, Denmark, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands, stands at the cusp of the booming renewable energy sector, offering a wide range of 40,000 renewable spare parts. The marketplace is modernising the procurement process for the renewable energy sector by providing an end-to-end solution for supplier consolidation, making procurement less burdensome and more cost-effective.
By partnering with Mangopay, Covento can now offer a more comprehensive experience, incorporating easy reconciliation, refunds, and dispute management. With Mangopay’s secure checkout feature and e-wallet technology, Covento can optimise payments and ensure a seamless and efficient payment process.
Covento’s Chief Commercial Officer, Casper Algren, said, “Covento is on a mission to become the leading B2B marketplace for the renewable industry, facilitating global e-commerce for both buyers and sellers. The payment experience plays a crucial role in achieving this ambition, and we are thrilled to collaborate with Mangopay to unlock new payment capabilities for our marketplace ecosystem.”
Similarly, CEO at Mangopay, Romain Mazeries, commented: “Covento serves as an excellent example of a thriving platform in the rapidly growing renewable market. B2B payments sit at the heart of the B2B marketplace and play a pivotal role in facilitating seamless coordination and execution of complex transactions in just a few clicks for both buyers and sellers. We are proud to support Covento on their journey to become an industry leader renewable energy parts and services and underpin a vital component of their business model.”
