BNPL giant Klarna has revealed that its service is now experiencing rapid growth across Canada.
The Swedish AI powered global payments network has announced that it currently has over 640,000 active customers across the nation – a figure which continues to rise rapidly since its market launch in February 2022.
Klarna has processed over 2 millon orders and launched new retail partnerships with esteemed brands such as Ssense and Airbnb since its market debut.
Steven Clarke, Head of Canada at Klarna said: “We are thrilled by the response and rapid growth Klarna is seeing in Canada with over 640,000 active consumers.
“This momentum speaks to the demand that we’re seeing among Canadians for superior, more flexible alternatives to high-cost, interest-bearing traditional credit options, and Klarna is leading the way.”
The news continues the strong start to 2023 for the Swedish BNPL giant, following reports of a stellar Q1.
The brand is continuing to go from strength to strength, with the launch of new products and services including a new Pay Now payment option, the Klarna Express Button, which is set to ensure a swift and secure checkout process by pre-filling consumer data.
Earlier this year, Klarna also announced a new affiliate marketing publisher program across Canada, enabling brands to reap the rewards of Klarna’s extensive database of loyal customers with premium ad placements across the app.
