Signicat welcomes Michel van den Bogaard as its new CFO

The digital identity powerhouse Signicat has announced the appointment of Michel van den Bogaard as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Taking his position at the Rotterdam office of Signicat, van den Bogaard will lead a significant team, spanning more than 35 individuals across the continent.

Signicat stands as a distinguished name in the Digital Identity realm, offering a comprehensive range of Digital Trust technologies. Serving a broad array of businesses across Europe, their solutions have become indispensable in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Michel van den Bogaard is not a newcomer in the world of finance. With a history that encompasses more than a quarter-century in various financial roles, Michel’s resume boasts associations with renowned global brands like Shell and Heineken. In addition to his tenure with these giants, Michel has an enriched experience within the private equity sector.

Before joining the ranks of Signicat, Michel held the esteemed position of Group CFO at SENTIA. SENTIA, a leader in providing business-critical Managed Cloud Services in North-Western Europe, was recently incorporated into the expansive portfolio of Accenture.

It’s a transformative period for Signicat. Following their strategic acquisitions of European entities like Dokobit from Lithuania, Sphonic from the United Kingdom, and Electronic IDentification from Spain, Signicat has solidified its dominance as the foremost entity in European digital identity services.

Signicat CEO Asger Hattel expressed his excitement, “I am thrilled to announce that Michel van den Bogaard is from the 1st of September our new CFO. Michel’s diverse background and expertise in financial management, and especially his experience working with private equity owners, makes him the ideal profile for taking over as CFO, and accompanying us in the coming chapters of our journey. His proven success internationally, working with leading logos and transformative agenda, and his deep knowledge in SaaS, makes him a great asset to the team.”

Michel echoed the sentiment, “I am excited to join Signicat. I am impressed by its comprehensive offering of Digital Trust technology to a wide range of businesses across Europe. My objective is to support the business as it continues its spectacular growth.”
