Arthur J. Gallagher & Co has snapped up Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance Services, a San Diego-based retail insurance broker.
The acquisition aims to consolidate Gallagher’s footprint in the Southwest and to leverage Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance’s expertise in transportation coverage. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in the announcement.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. is renowned for offering a broad range of insurance, risk management, and consulting services across multiple sectors. On the other hand, Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance stands out for its specialisation in offering transportation insurance solutions, catering to clients across California and Arizona.
Post-acquisition, key personnel from Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance, including its President Michael Hartley, Vice President John Cylke, and Agent/Broker James Hawes, will continue to operate from their existing location. They will report to Scott Firestone, who heads Gallagher’s Southwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t Gallagher’s only recent acquisition. Just a week prior, the company publicised its acquisition of Ace Commercial Insurance Center, predominantly catering to the trucking industry in Southern California, and Eastern Insurance Group, LLC, an affiliate of Eastern Bank.
Gallagher Chairman, President and CEO, J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. said, “Hartley Cylke Pacific Insurance’s deep expertise in the transportation market will enhance our growth opportunities in the region. I am delighted to welcome Michael, John, James and their associates to Gallagher.”
