Cincinnati Re, the reinsurance subsidiary of The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, has added Christopher Toppi to its team.
Cincinnati Re is a prominent player in the reinsurance industry, known for its expertise and comprehensive reinsurance solutions. As a subsidiary of The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, the firm has a strong track record of providing risk management services and innovative reinsurance products to clients worldwide.
Christopher Toppi brings a wealth of experience to his new position at Cincinnati Re, with a career spanning over nine years in the insurance and reinsurance sector. He joins Cincinnati Re from Ryan Re Underwriting Managers, where he served with distinction for nearly four years.
Toppi’s journey with Cincinnati Re commenced in 2020 when he joined as a Property Treaty underwriter. His dedication and expertise led to his promotion to Assistant Vice President in 2022, reflecting his commitment to the company’s growth and success.
Before his tenure at Cincinnati Re, Toppi held the role of Property Treaty Underwriter at OdysseyRe, a leading underwriter specialising in property and casualty reinsurance. During his time there, he played a vital role in underwriting operations for almost two years.
Additionally, Mr. Toppi spent over three years at Aspen Insurance Group, based in their New York office. He began his career with Aspen Re in 2015, initially as an Underwriting Graduate in the Property Reinsurance division and later advancing to the position of Associate Underwriter.
The appointment follows the recent addition of Ryan Chefalas as Director of Specialty Reinsurance in April. Ryan Chefalas, a seasoned professional in property, marine, and energy treaty reinsurance, joined Cincinnati Re after a successful four-year tenure at OdysseyRe, where he served as Vice President and Senior Underwriter.
