Ctrl Alt's FinTech venture scoops up £2.2m

Alternative asset provider Ctrl Alt, a pioneering FinTech company in the realm of alternative assets, has recently announced the securing of £2.2m in an investment round.

This round has been spearheaded by prominent investors such as Forward Partners and Middle Game Ventures, according to a report from UKTN.

Originally launched as a consumer-centric (B2C) enterprise, Ctrl Alt has since evolved into a business-to-business (B2B) platform. This transformation now allows various FinTech platforms to delve into alternative assets, notably those related to green energy and real estate.

The primary aim behind Ctrl Alt is to provide a comprehensive platform for businesses to access a diverse range of alternative assets. With the assistance of Ctrl Alt’s extensive asset database, firms can seamlessly integrate using its API, white-label software solutions, or its sophisticated terminal trading platform. Furthermore, the platform provides opportunities for businesses to raise significant asset financing.

Ctrl Alt CEO and co-founder Matt Ong remarked, “A diversified portfolio should play a key role in any investment strategy and it’s not right that alternative assets, a typically robust form of investment, remain in the old world of money.”

Megha Prakash, senior investor at Forward Partners, shared her thoughts on the investment, stating, “At Forward, we see a massive opportunity to democratise access to financial investments for eligible investors who have hitherto been locked out of these markets due to large tickets, administrative complexity and a lack of access.”
