BR-DGE and Sift collaborate to strengthen merchant fraud prevention

BR-DGE, a foremost payment orchestration provider, and Sift, a top player in the domain of Digital Trust & Safety, have come together in a strategic alliance.

The collaboration aims to assist merchants in tackling payment fraud, a growing concern in the financial sector.

BR-DGE is at the forefront of the payments industry, offering BR-DGE Connect, a connectivity tool for the payments ecosystem. Its state-of-the-art product, BR-DGE Vault, provides network tokenisation, ensuring encrypted, end-to-end payment data protection. Led by CEO Thomas Gillan, BR-DGE is transforming online payments by facilitating a myriad of payment choices through a single integration point.

The partnership will grant BR-DGE merchants direct access to Sift’s cutting-edge machine learning platform designed for fraud and risk decisioning. By utilising both the BR-DGE Vault and Sift’s AI system, they intend to offer a more secure and efficient payment procedure for both merchants and consumers.

By leveraging BR-DGE’s unparalleled payment orchestration platform and its extensive network of leading payment innovators, partners can onboard new merchants swiftly and tap into numerous marketing and sales assets. With data from UK Finance revealing that criminals pilfered over £1.2bn in 2022, BR-DGE’s alliance with multiple industry partners, including Sift, showcases a proactive approach to countering fraud and safeguarding both merchants and consumers.

BR-DGE Head of Partnerships Tom Voaden said, “Tackling fraud and protecting customers at the payment checkout is one of the biggest challenges facing merchants right now. When it comes to delivering a best-in-class payment experience, it is vital that merchants have access to market-leading fraud protection tools that also streamline the customer experience. By joining forces with Sift, BR-DGE is able to offer merchants access to an additional layer of security, promoting trust and loyalty amongst customers. We are delighted to be working with the team at Sift on this exciting partnership.”

Sift SVP of Global Partnerships Dave Scholtz said, “As consumers have adopted different payment methods, merchants have needed to respond in kind by providing them with choice during checkout. Yet with different checkout options comes new fraud risks. By partnering with BR-DGE, Sift customers can get the best of both worlds – the payment experience their users demand, without the fraud risk.”
