Everest Insurance International has announced significant changes to its senior leadership team in Asia.

The news has seen Tomi Latva-Kiskola, appointed as the head of insurance, Asia, effective from February 5, 2024, joining the company to spearhead the insurance division, according to Insurance Business Mag.

He will report directly to Scott Leney, the head of Asia-Pacific for Everest Insurance International. Simultaneously, Swee Keong Mah, currently serving as the interim regional head of insurance, Asia, and head of legal, Asia-Pacific, will step into the role of chief executive officer of Everest Insurance Singapore, reporting directly to Latva-Kiskola.

Latva-Kiskola, the newly appointed head of insurance, Asia, brings extensive experience in overseeing insurance operations across the Asian market. His previous role as president & CEO of AIG Insurance Hong Kong Limited was pivotal in restructuring the regional operation and significantly enhancing business performance and loss ratios. With a career spanning 15 years at AIG, he held key leadership positions in Thailand and spearheaded shared services across Asia and Europe.

His expertise extends beyond insurance, having served as a senior advisor to global clients in diverse sectors like insurance, financial services, energy, and pharmaceuticals. His consultancy primarily focused on strategy, operations, and risk management.

Scott Leney, the head of Asia-Pacific for Everest Insurance International, said, “Tomi is a highly respected leader and operator who brings significant regional experience along with a deep network of long-standing relationships spanning multiple markets.
