QBE Re has recently announced the addition of Andrew Guarnori and Ashish “Ash” Ahluwalia to its senior team in newly created positions.
According to Insurance Business America, this move signifies a major leap in the company’s leadership dynamics. Andrew Guarnori, with a rich background in underwriting, joins as the head of underwriting oversight, while Ash Ahluwalia, previously part of QBE’s actuarial team, steps up as the global head of performance & portfolio analytics.
QBE Re operates within the reinsurance industry, providing risk management solutions and services. The company is known for its expertise in underwriting and portfolio management, catering to a diverse clientele globally. Their services encompass a wide range of reinsurance needs, playing a crucial role in the financial resilience of their customers.
Andrew Guarnori brings over 30 years of experience in underwriting, having previously served at Swiss Re in various senior roles, including deputy head of financial lines. His role at QBE Re involves overseeing underwriting operations across the board. Ash Ahluwalia, promoted internally, will lead in performance and portfolio analytics, drawing upon his extensive experience in reserving and performance management within the company.
The appointments of Guarnori and Ahluwalia are part of a broader restructuring within QBE Re, which also includes the earlier announcement of Mark Jackaman as general manager in London. Their collective expertise is expected to significantly contribute to QBE Re’s strategic objectives.
These leadership changes at QBE Re are aimed at enhancing professionalism, modernization, and client service, reinforcing the company’s position in the reinsurance market.
