Delinea and Authomize, a trailblazer in identity-based threat detection in the cloud, have joined forces in a significant acquisition.
Delinea’s expertise in seamless PAM solutions is complemented by Authomize’s innovative approach to detecting and neutralizing cloud-based identity threats.
The acquisition’s purpose is to integrate Authomize’s continuous discovery and visibility capabilities with Delinea’s top-tier SaaS solutions for PAM. This integration aims to broaden Delinea’s scope, offering robust defenses against identity-based attacks, such as account takeovers and insider threats, in cloud environments. The deal’s financial details were not disclosed.
Delinea is a front-runner in providing SaaS solutions for PAM, ensuring privileged controls in cloud infrastructures. Authomize, on the other hand, specializes in the continuous detection and elimination of identity-based threats in cloud environments, a critical need in today’s digital landscape.
This strategic acquisition not only expands Delinea’s cloud capabilities but also establishes a new Delinea research and development center in Israel. The integration of Authomize’s CIEM (Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management) and ITDR (Identity Threat Detection and Response) capabilities into the Delinea Platform enhances its execution of PAM across modern enterprises.
Research by Osterman highlights the increasing complexity of cloud environments, with many enterprises using multiple clouds but lacking visibility into access policies. Authomize’s CIEM extends controls to SaaS applications, addressing the risk of overprivileged cloud identities. Similarly, ITDR offers threat detection and risk mitigation across all identities, crucial in a landscape where identity-related breaches are increasingly common.
Delinea CEO Art Gilliland emphasized the acquisition’s importance, stating, “The combination of Delinea and Authomize gives customers the power to detect and mitigate active identity threats across SaaS applications, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.” He expressed excitement about integrating the Authomize team, enhancing Delinea Platform’s capacity to reduce identity-related risk.
Phil Calvin, Chief Product Officer at Delinea, highlighted the milestone, noting, “Our joint technologies will harness continuous monitoring and deliver adaptive and broad privilege controls, all within a consolidated cloud-native platform, ensuring awareness and response to protect identities and data.”
Authomize CEO Dotan Bar Noy expressed enthusiasm about joining Delinea and the ongoing innovation, while Authomize CTO Gal Diskin looked forward to expanding privilege security across enterprises.
