Snabble, a pioneer in mobile Point of Sale (POS) technology, announces a strategic partnership with Softpay.io, a renowned SoftPos provider based in the Scandinavian region.
The partnership is primarily aimed at integrating Softpay.io’s SoftPos solution with Snabble’s mobilePOS software for deployment at Copenhagen Airport, in collaboration with Gebr. Heinemann. This strategic alliance is designed to leverage the strengths of both companies to enhance the checkout experience, offering secure, seamless, and efficient payment solutions to customers, particularly focusing on contactless Danish payment methods in line with local market regulations.
Snabble is known for its state-of-the-art mobilePOS solutions, which have already been successfully implemented at various retail locations, including Copenhagen Airport with Gebr. Heinemann. The company’s technology is designed to streamline the checkout process, offering a more convenient and efficient shopping experience for customers.
Softpay.io, on the other hand, is a leading PayTech company established in 2019, headquartered in Copenhagen. It specialises in providing Tap-to-Phone solutions, transforming any Android device into a contactless payment terminal. Its innovative approach to payment processing has garnered the trust of major European and global merchants, marking its strong presence in the payment technology sector.
The partnership features the integration of Softpay.io’s App Switch solution into Snabble’s mobilePOS, offering a secure and seamless app-to-app integration. This allows businesses, particularly Gebr. Heinemann in Denmark, to facilitate contactless Danish payment methods such as Dankort. The collaboration ensures a smooth transaction process, payment data verification, and payment amount authorisation, adhering to Danish market regulations.
The alliance between Snabble and Softpay.io marks a significant milestone in the mobilePOS technology sector, promising innovative solutions for the Scandinavian market. The integration of Softpay.io’s innovative mobile application allows merchants to accept payments with contactless cards and mobile wallets without the need for additional dedicated hardware. This collaboration is set to transform the customer experience through swift Tap-to-Pay transactions, offering cost reductions, increased flexibility, and opening up new revenue streams for merchants.
Snabble CEO Sebastian Mancke emphasised the impact of the partnership, saying, “Supporting Tap-to-Pay transactions within seconds via mobilePOS creates an entirely new customer experience and opens up innovative interaction possibilities during consultation and transaction processing.”
