Nucleus Security secures $43m in Series B funding

Nucleus Security, a pioneer in the Risk-Based Vulnerability Management sector, has successfully raised $43m in a Series B funding round.

The round was spearheaded by Arthur Ventures and Lead Edge Capital, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey to revolutionise enterprise risk management.

This funding boost is set to propel Nucleus Security’s ambitious mission to redefine how businesses handle risk exposure across various digital landscapes. By integrating infrastructure, cloud, and application vulnerabilities into a single platform, Nucleus is leading the charge in mitigating cyber threats more effectively.

The injection of $43m will be channelled towards accelerating product innovation, research, and development efforts. This strategic focus aims to solidify Nucleus Security’s standing as a frontrunner in the vulnerability management arena, ensuring that enterprises can safeguard against cyber breaches and compromises more efficiently.

In addition to traditional venture capital backing, In-Q-Tel (IQT), a strategic investor for the U.S. national security community, has joined as a new investor. This collaboration underscores Nucleus’s commitment to evolving its platform to meet the stringent requirements of government agencies, thus contributing to national and global cybersecurity resilience.

Reflecting on the company’s trajectory and impact, Nucleus Security CEO and Co-Founder Steve Carter shared, “While many enterprises have equipped themselves with advanced technologies for discovering vulnerabilities, the true challenge lies in the effective organization, enrichment, and analysis of this data to make it actionable for decision-makers.

“Those last-mile processes must be in place to deliver the right vulnerability information to the right stakeholders at the right time. This round of funding will accelerate our vision of being the unified platform to realize the full value of all assets, vulnerabilities, and intelligence data and provide the single pane of glass needed to align the security organization to respond to threats appropriately.”
