Clarity, an innovative firm specialising in AI cybersecurity, has successfully secured $16m in seed funding. The round was led by prominent investors Walden Catalyst and Bessemer Venture Partners, marking a significant step forward for the company.
Specialising in the detection and neutralisation of Deepfakes and synthetic media, Clarity is at the forefront of addressing one of the most critical challenges in the digital age. By leveraging advanced artificial intelligence and cybersecurity technologies, the company offers solutions designed to safeguard critical infrastructure and maintain trust in digital communications.
The new influx of capital will be instrumental in doubling down on Clarity’s core research efforts and enhancing its solution offerings. With Deepfakes posing an unprecedented threat to society—estimated to represent 90% of online content by 2026—the need for Clarity’s technology has never been more urgent. The company’s solutions are already deployed across leading media publishers, government agencies, and other enterprises, indicating the high level of trust and reliance placed on their technology.
Michael Matias, co-founder and CEO of Clarity, emphasized the importance of their work, stating, “Our digital lives are under attack by shockingly accurate representations of people saying things they never said, and doing things they never did; we are just at the beginning of the invasion of deceit.
