Allpay Cards sets sustainability benchmark with SPICA collaboration

Allpay

Allpay Cards has announced its collaboration with SPICA, a leading figure in the production of high-performance recycled and virgin PVC material, setting a new standard for sustainability in the card manufacturing industry.

This partnership positions Allpay Cards as the sole card manufacturer in the UK to boast such a progressive setup, highlighting its commitment to environmental responsibility.

SPICA’s dedication to producing premier Recycled PVC material under the strictest quality standards is commendable. The company has revolutionised its operations by shifting from the traditional ‘TAKE-MAKE-DISPOSE’ model to a ‘REDUCE-REUSE-RECYCLE’ approach. This closed-loop system not only promotes the regeneration of new material from card production remnants but also introduces a comprehensive take-back scheme. This initiative ensures a 100% circular approach by including both post-consumer and post-industrial waste, showcasing an unwavering commitment to sustainability.

The logistical operations have been meticulously designed to prevent contamination across different production stages, highlighting the discipline required to maintain purity between white and coloured plastics. This careful management underlines the importance of SPICA’s strict guidelines in achieving sustainable outcomes.

SPICA’s introduction of SICO-R PVC and Recycled film for various applications marks a significant advancement in sustainable material use. By opting for SPICA’s SICO-R, Allpay Cards not only supports the use of 100% recyclable material but also ensures that the produced cards are fully recyclable. This decision reflects a conscious effort to promote sustainability without compromising on quality.
