Juniper has identified a significant gap in the health insurance market by offering comprehensive reproductive insurance, a critical area often overlooked by conventional health plans.
This initiative is powered by ‘Optalitix Models’, a product of Optalitix, a leader in data analytics solutions. This collaboration marks a strategic move to address unmet needs within the healthcare sector.
Optalitix announced that its ‘Optalitix Models’ would provide fast, precise quotations and streamline services for brokers promoting Juniper’s groundbreaking products. As Juniper launches into the market, it is crucial for them to employ modern, efficient systems to establish a robust foundation for their business. ‘Optalitix Models’ will enable consistent pricing and easy access to these innovative insurance products for brokers, their clients, and employees.
Optalitix Head of Insurance Platforms Greg Gwilliam expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating: “We welcome Juniper as a partner. Their business covers a much-needed gap in the health insurance space and with Optalitix Models it will be perfectly positioned to seamlessly and easily scale up operations as demand for its products grows. Juniper has a very bright future.”
Juniper’s use of ‘Optalitix Models’ will allow them to manage their Excel models in the cloud efficiently, with API integrations, in a scalable and controlled environment. This setup enhances audit trails, allows for ongoing testing, and facilitates the progressive adoption and correction of their systems. These capabilities are critical in avoiding the limitations posed by outdated procedures and the challenges of managing extensively versioned Excel files with potential inaccuracies.
Juniper Co-founder and CPTO Sam Pratt highlighted the benefits of this technology: “Working with Optalitix enables Juniper to ensure our reproductive health cover is the most comprehensive, inclusive, and seamless-to-use offering available. In our industry, data lacks uniformity and processes are often exceedingly manual, which makes using the correct pricing model challenging.
“Parsing and normalising Excel spreadsheets is not our core business, and the effort required to get it right was immense. With Optalitix, we keep collaboration and iteration high, and maintain a single source of truth without building an expensive in-house solution. Impressively, Optalitix had our models imported, running, and integrated in under a day,” he added.
