Digital Vault Services (DVS), a trailblazing FinTech known for its issuance and safekeeping services for digital bank guarantees and sureties, has announced an upcoming investment from Clearstream, a key component of Deutsche Börse’s post-trade business.
This investment, which is still pending regulatory approval and the completion of legal documentation, marks a significant endorsement of DVS’s innovative solutions and strategic vision.
The planned investment will grant Clearstream a minority stake in DVS and is expected to be finalised in the second half of 2024. This move is set to empower DVS to further develop and expand its Guarantee Vault product while integrating it with D7, Deutsche Börse’s digital post-trade platform. This integration aims to diversify D7’s product portfolio beyond securities, venturing into digital asset management for the first time.
DVS has established itself as a pivotal market infrastructure solution within Europe, leveraging digital technologies to modernise and streamline the issuance and storage of bank guarantees. The collaboration with Clearstream is poised to enhance connectivity and add value across the trade finance ecosystem, benefiting corporates, banks, and insurers by reducing complexities and introducing efficiencies.
The funding will enable DVS to advance its technology and expand its offerings, ultimately driving growth and innovation in the digital guarantees sector. The integration with Clearstream’s D7 platform will facilitate a broader range of digital asset products and improve service delivery to clients.
