Worldline, which offers payment services, has partnered with Visa to launch a new virtual card issuing solution. 

The strategic partnership between Worldline and Visa is designed to address the growing demands of the Online Travel Agency (OTA) market by launching a virtual card issuing solution. This collaboration is aimed at enhancing payment efficiency and security, meeting the specific needs of the rapidly expanding OTA sector.

Worldline stands at the forefront of the payment services industry, offering a range of solutions that streamline payment processes and enhance operational efficiency for businesses globally. Their strong focus on the travel sector has enabled them to tailor their offerings to meet the unique demands of travel agencies and related services.

The partnership will integrate Worldline’s Merchant Services Acceptance capabilities with its Financial Services Card issuing platform, creating a unified solution that optimizes cash flows and reduces operational frictions for OTAs. This initiative not only aims to streamline payment processes but also to drive significant market expansion for Worldline, establishing them as a leader in payment solutions for the travel industry.

Industry forecasts by Statista and PhocusWright highlight the potential growth in the travel industry, with online sales projected to dominate the market. OTAs, which currently account for 40% of the global travel market, are set to play a pivotal role in this growth, benefiting significantly from advancements in payment solutions like the one offered through this partnership.
