In response to increasing demand for sustainable investment options and a growing emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, BNPP AM has introduced a new climate exchange-traded fund (ETF) to expand its SRI PAB range. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to addressing pressing global challenges while providing investors with opportunities for long-term growth and responsible investing.

BNP Paribas Asset Management is a leading global player in asset management, offering a diverse range of investment solutions to institutional and retail clients across the globe. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, BNPP AM aims to deliver superior investment outcomes while promoting positive social and environmental impact.

The newly launched BNP Paribas Easy MSCI ACWI SRI S-Series PAB 5% Capped UCITS ETF, a sub-fund of the BNP Paribas Easy Irish ICAV, seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI ACWI SRI S-Series PAB 5% Capped Index. Designed to provide investors with exposure to companies demonstrating high ESG standards, this climate ETF aligns with the Paris Aligned Benchmark (PAB) targets, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas intensity and achieve decarbonisation goals.

This climate ETF, classified as Article 8 under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), adopts a robust ESG screening process, excluding companies with significant negative ESG impact and those involved in severe controversies. With a commitment to sustainable investments, the fund allocates a minimum of 35% of its net assets to such opportunities while maintaining a Tracking Error below 1% versus the underlying index.

Lorraine Sereyjol-Garros, Global Head of Development for ETFs & Index Funds at BNPP AM said, “We observe a strong interest from clients for SRI PAB ETFs and are proud to expand our range, particularly within our Irish ICAV. The aim is to capture long-term growth opportunities offered by global equities while integrating a serious and strong ESG approach. With this new ETF, clients will have access to both developed and emerging equity markets.”
