Stride, a leader in providing benefits for independent workers, has announced a new partnership with Roadie to provide benefits for 200,000 independent drivers.

This collaboration aims to provide comprehensive support to Roadie’s network of independent drivers, addressing the financial complexities they face, according to InsurTech Insights.

The partnership’s primary goal is to offer Roadie drivers full access to Stride’s portable benefits platform.

This includes holistic insurance coverage, tax assistance, and financial planning tools, enabling drivers to navigate their financial obligations with greater confidence and ease.

Founded in 2013, Stride has assisted over four million workers in saving more than $5bn on their taxes and health insurance premiums.

The platform simplifies the process of choosing insurance by providing access to affordable health plans, personalised recommendations, and unbiased advisors. Stride’s services ensure that independent workers can obtain the best packages tailored to their needs and budgets.

Roadie, established in 2014, offers a platform for same-day delivery with a community of over 200,000 drivers. Through this partnership, Roadie drivers can benefit from Stride’s comprehensive benefits, including affordable healthcare and essential financial tools.

Noah Lang, CEO and co-founder of Stride, commented, “At Stride, we have been serving the delivery industry for years and deeply understand their unique needs around taxes and insurance. We are excited to serve Roadie drivers. Roadie and Stride’s partnership represents our commitment to ensuring that every independent worker has access to the essential benefits they need to thrive in today’s economy. By joining forces, we’re not only empowering drivers using Roadie with affordable healthcare coverage and valuable tax and financial tools but also fostering a stronger and more resilient independent workforce.”

Marc Gorlin, founder and CEO of Roadie, also shared his thoughts on the collaboration, “We know Roadie drivers value their independence and care a lot about flexibility. They’re their own bosses and they want to feel like it, historically, that independence has come at a cost: the benefits that usually come with a nine-to-five. This partnership helps to bridge that gap.”

“Through Stride’s comprehensive benefits platform, drivers can now access essential coverage and sophisticated tools tailored to their unique needs as gig economy workers.”
