Abrdn, a leading global investment company, has appointed Dan Grandage as its new chief sustainability officer, investments.
Acccording to Funds Europe, Grandage will report to Peter Branner, Abrdn’s chief investment officer, and will be responsible for leading the global sustainable and active ownership strategy.
Abrdn specialises in providing a wide range of investment solutions and services to help clients achieve their financial goals. The company is committed to integrating sustainability into its investment processes, ensuring that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors are considered to deliver risk-adjusted returns.
Grandage has been with Abrdn for over a decade, most recently focusing on integrating the company’s approach to sustainable investing across both public and private assets. He replaces Amanda Young, who left the company at the end of April 2024.
With his extensive background in sustainable investing, Grandage brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. His primary objective will be to ensure that sustainability remains a core part of Abrdn’s investment strategy, providing clarity and insights to both investment teams and clients.
In his statement about the new role, Grandage said, “The sustainable investment field is rapidly evolving as it grapples with myriad regulations while trying to help investors navigate the global challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, ageing populations and corporate actions.
