SiriusPoint, a global specialty insurer and reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Susan Cross to its board director, effective 24 May 2024.
The firm specialises in providing insurance and reinsurance solutions worldwide, and the company is known for its expertise in managing complex risks and delivering bespoke solutions to its clients.
Cross, joins the board of now 10 members, bringing over 40 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry to her new role.
She has a strong background in developing and leading actuarial and analytical functions to support global growth. Before joining SiriusPoint, Cross was a director at Enstar Group Limited since October 2020 and previously served as executive vice president and global chief actuary at XL Group (now AXA XL) from 2008 to 2018.
In addition to her new role at SiriusPoint, she serves as non-executive director at Unum Group, a Fortune 500 insurer. She has also held board positions at IFG Companies, American Strategic Insurance, Mid Ocean Limited, and XL Life Ltd.
SiriusPoint’s chair of the board, Bronek Masojada, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, stating, “Susan is a business leader, and an experienced Board Director who fosters innovative cultures to drive growth.
