Ryan Specialty, a leading international specialty insurance firm, has announced that London-based underwriter Tom Daniels has joined LifeScienceRisk as managing director of LifeScienceRisk International.
LifeScienceRisk is a key part of Ryan Specialty’s suite of managing general underwriters under the Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers division.
Ryan Specialty specialises in providing tailored insurance solutions through its various managing general underwriters and national programmes.
These are designed to meet the specific needs of diverse industries, including life sciences. LifeScienceRisk focuses on offering specialised insurance services to the life sciences sector, covering areas like pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and clinical trials.
Daniels brings 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, with the last nine dedicated to managing and growing life science risk portfolios.
He has built a strong reputation as a top underwriter in the life sciences space, serving clients involved in pharmaceuticals, medical device manufacturing, and consumer healthcare, as well as companies engaged in clinical trial activities.
In his new role as managing director of LifeScienceRisk International, Daniels will be responsible for leading the company’s efforts to expand its international presence and develop bespoke insurance solutions for life sciences clients worldwide.
