Oracle has introduced a new sustainability application within its Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite to help organisations streamline their sustainability reporting processes.
The offering, Oracle Fusion Cloud Sustainability, is provided at no extra cost to customers and is designed to assist businesses in capturing and analysing critical sustainability data, which is increasingly crucial for achieving environmental goals.
Oracle’s latest innovation seeks to simplify sustainability data management and decision-making.
Oracle’s executive vice president of Applications Development, Steve Miranda, said, “Customers consistently tell us that the greatest barrier to understanding their environmental impact is the time and complexity required to chase down, organize, and analyze the necessary data.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Sustainability integrates with Oracle’s other cloud solutions, including Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). This integration provides business leaders with enhanced capabilities for data analysis and reporting through Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.
Key features of the new sustainability solution include automated transaction records, allowing companies to increase the speed and accuracy of their sustainability reporting. AI-powered classification rules and sustainability metadata attributes enable the automatic creation of activity records, streamlining the entire process.
The platform also offers prebuilt dashboards with key performance indicators (KPIs) and custom analyses, allowing business leaders to gain a comprehensive view of their sustainability performance. Furthermore, Oracle Fusion Cloud Sustainability provides rigorous audit and traceability capabilities, ensuring transparency in sustainability reporting by delivering financial-grade audit trails.
One of the standout features of the new platform is its sophisticated emission factor mapping, which allows organisations to calculate their carbon footprint with more accuracy. This tool also helps firms understand the environmental impact of their decisions by automatically calculating emissions based on various global warming potentials and converting these into actionable data.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Sustainability also integrates with third-party applications, streamlining data collection from external sources and ensuring that companies meet their reporting requirements. This comprehensive integration allows for seamless data imports from external sources via REST APIs and spreadsheets.
