Additional appointments include Hugh Mooney, Ryan Grimes, Leah Ohodnicki, Marya Propis, and Tim Lomas in senior leadership roles.
RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, focuses on offering tailored insurance solutions and wholesale broking services.
The company’s expertise spans several sectors, including commercial lines, personal lines, and transportation, helping clients manage complex insurance needs.
Johnson, who joined RT Specialty in 2019 through the acquisition of Atlantic Specialty Lines, has been serving as president of RT Binding since 2021. Under his leadership, the division has experienced significant growth.
In his new role, Johnson will oversee RT Binding’s three key areas: commercial lines, personal lines, and transportation. Jonathan Reiner, who has been with RT Specialty since its inception in 2010, will now head RT ProExec while continuing as a broker and team leader.
Other appointments include Hugh Mooney, who will become president of RT Specialty’s National Property Practice, while maintaining his role as regional executive vice president. Ryan Grimes will take over as president of the National Casualty Practice, with both executives bringing decades of wholesale insurance experience. Leah Ohodnicki, who joins from Ethos P&C, will assume the newly created role of executive vice president of carrier relations. Tim Lomas, a nine-year veteran of RT Specialty, will now serve as executive vice president of finance.
These promotions follow the announcement of Tim Turner’s transition to CEO of Ryan Specialty and chairman of RT Specialty, alongside Ed McCormack’s promotion to CEO of RT Specialty. With these changes, RT Specialty is positioning itself for future success under its new leadership team.
