Doconomy has unveiled its carbon footprint measurement feature within Citibank Hong Kong’s latest Wealth360 offering.
This feature, accessible through the Citi Mobile® App, is enhanced by Planto’s sophisticated AI-driven Data Enrichment engine, elevating both user experience and financial insights.
This strategic collaboration underscores a commitment to environmental awareness and sustainability among Hong Kong’s financial service consumers. Supported by Citi Ventures and Mastercard, Doconomy and Citibank Hong Kong are advancing their mutual ambition to innovate and champion sustainability in the sector. By integrating Doconomy’s carbon tracking tool into Wealth360, Citibank provides its users a novel method to gauge and manage their environmental impact.
Wealth360, empowered by Planto’s cutting-edge technology, broadens Citibank Hong Kong’s personal financial management (PFM) functionalities. Users can now track their carbon emissions across different spending categories, compare them to the Hong Kong average, and receive customized suggestions for reducing their environmental footprint. This initiative marks Citibank as the pioneer in deploying such functionalities combined with Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS), enriching customer personalization through selected bank accounts.
The new carbon footprint feature allows meticulous emissions tracking where users can observe their environmental influence based on their lifestyle choices. It promotes greater environmental accountability through comparative analysis and personalized recommendations tailored to users’ spending behaviors.
“We are excited to partner with Citibank Hong Kong to bring our carbon footprint measurement tool to a wider audience,” Mathias Wikström, CEO at Doconomy, said. “This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to make more sustainable choices. By integrating our technology into Citibank’s Wealth360, alongside Planto’s advanced AI-driven Data Enrichment engine, we are helping users not only manage their finances but also contribute positively to the environment.”
“Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) in Hong Kong will be a transformative initiative that will allow banks to develop the next generation of personalized experiences, driving financial inclusion,” Ankit Suri, Co-founder & CEO of Planto, said. “With Wealth360, we are empowering Citi customers to better manage their finances and achieve their financial goals through hyper-personalized insights and recommendations. The addition of Doconomy’s carbon footprint calculator further enhances the platform, enabling users to make more informed and sustainable choices.”
