Revolut, a global FinTech company known for its versatile digital banking services, has launched a new point-of-sale (POS) terminal device aimed at larger businesses across the UK and Ireland.
The rollout is designed to support these businesses as they prepare for the upcoming Black Friday and the busy festive shopping season, according to Finextra.
The launch comes as Revolut looks to bolster its business-to-business (B2B) services. With a focus on driving growth within the hospitality and retail sectors, the new terminal reflects Revolut’s commitment to expanding its B2B offering and capitalising on the busy shopping period.
Founded in 2015, the firm provides a wide range of financial services that include personal banking, currency exchange, stock trading, and business banking solutions.
The company is widely recognised for its innovation in digital payments and its user-friendly mobile banking app, which has attracted millions of users globally.
The new POS terminal integrates with Revolut Pay, the company’s one-click payment feature, enabling users to pay directly from their Revolut account without needing to input card or bank details.
Customers also benefit from earning RevPoints, which can be redeemed for discounts. Merchants will enjoy lower transaction fees of 0.5% plus £0.02 for Revolut Pay transactions, making it a cost-effective payment solution.
In addition to the Revolut Pay integration, the POS terminal can be linked to Revolut’s Point of Sale software, offering advanced features such as analytics, table mapping, multi-location management, and customer cataloguing. This all-in-one solution aims to simplify business operations and enhance customer management.
Revolut is offering the terminal on an exclusive pre-sale basis at a discounted price of £129 + VAT, down from the original price of £169 + VAT. The company is also promising a 99.9% platform uptime to ensure uninterrupted sales for its business customers.
Revolut’s general manager of merchant acquiring, Alex Codina, said, “We’re excited to be offering Revolut Terminal as an all-in-one, powerful POS solution for our business customers. This launch comes as we continue to invest into our B2B offering and particularly double down on the hospitality and retail industries as an acquirer.”
