Noma, an application security landscape firm, has exited stealth mode with a substantial $32m in Series A funding.
This marks a significant milestone for the company, which specializes in securing the entire data and AI lifecycle from development to production.
The $32m funding round was led by Ballistic Ventures, with additional contributions from Glilot Capital Partners and the involvement of strategic angel investors including current and former CISOs from major companies like McDonald’s and Google DeepMind. This investment follows a previously undisclosed seed round led by Glilot Capital Partners.
Noma is addressing critical vulnerabilities in the data science and machine learning domains by providing a comprehensive security platform that covers the entire Data & AI Lifecycle. Their solution is designed to manage risks associated with data pipelines, MLOps tools, and the use of open source models in AI applications.
The company plans to use the new funding to enhance its platform capabilities, ensuring robust security and protection across various deployment environments, including cloud-based, SaaS, and self-hosted systems. The end-to-end security solution aims to add no friction to the daily workflows of data science teams, facilitating seamless security integration.
In addition to its core security platform, Noma also emphasizes the importance of compliance and protection against emerging threats such as runtime prompt injections and vulnerable AI models, which represent a growing concern in the fast-paced field of artificial intelligence.
Noma CEO Niv Braun commented on the urgency of their mission, stating, “The Data & AI Lifecycle is significantly different from the traditional software development lifecycle, requiring a new approach to security that covers the entire spectrum of potential vulnerabilities.”
Previously, Noma had secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding, which laid the groundwork for their current advancements in the AI security domain.
