Previsico, a specialist in surface water flood forecasting, has partnered with Esri UK to help UK businesses and organisations mitigate future flood impacts and losses.
The partnership will integrate Previsico’s forecasting solutions with Esri UK’s existing offerings, according to FF News.
Through an API, Previsico’s technology will be accessible to Esri UK’s customers across various sectors, including utilities, transport, architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), as well as housing, local authorities, central government, and commercial markets such as retail and real estate.
Previsico delivers market-leading flood forecasting and monitoring solutions. Using geospatial and IoT data, the technology enables businesses worldwide to anticipate, act on, and mitigate flood impacts.
The company works with insurers like Liberty, Zurich, and Generali, alongside public sector entities such as National Grid and National Rail, large corporations, and SMEs.
Esri UK specialises in GIS software and mapping solutions, serving 650,000 organisations globally. Its expertise empowers industries to leverage location intelligence for operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
The collaboration allows Esri UK to extend value to its existing customer base while unlocking new opportunities.
The partnership will also support communities and businesses in addressing surface water flood risk challenges effectively. In the future, there is potential to scale the partnership to benefit Esri’s global client network.
Previsico’s technology combines weather data from the UK Met Office and the US equivalent with IoT devices and advanced modelling to tackle surface water flooding globally.
