Ziegler, a specialty investment bank known for its expertise in healthcare and senior living finance, has successfully closed a $39.7m bond issuance for RiverWoods Exeter.
The Series 2024 Bonds, totalling $39.7m, were issued for RiverWoods Exeter, a not-for-profit organisation that operates a three-campus continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Exeter, New Hampshire. The financing aims to refinance outstanding Series 2012AB bank loans and cover costs related to the issuance.
RiverWoods Exeter offers a range of housing, healthcare, and related services to residents across its three campuses—The Woods, The Ridge, and The Boulders—spanning over 200 acres of wooded land along the Exeter River. The facilities include 393 independent living units, 71 assisted living units, and 78 nursing beds, totalling 542 units. These campuses have been operational since 1994, 2004, and 2010, respectively.
Commenting on the deal, Ziegler managing director Keith Robertson said, “Ziegler is proud to have once again partnered with the RiverWoods organization, supporting their continued commitment to providing exceptional senior living communities and services in New Hampshire.”
RiverWoods Exeter CFO Kevin Goyette praised Ziegler’s guidance throughout the process, stating, “Having utilized private placement bank debt over the past two decades, we knew we needed to partner with a trusted resource on this public deal. In addition to strong financial analysis, the Ziegler team provided education for our Board, leadership team, and members of our resident finance committee. Throughout the process, the team exhibited patience and ultimately secured a favorable outcome which will serve as a solid foundation for our future initiatives.”
