Regnology strengthens SupTech offering with strategic acquisition of BR-AG

Regnology

Regnology, a prominent software provider specializing in regulatory reporting solutions, has acquired BR-AG.

Established in 2005, BR-AG delivers consulting services in taxonomy and data model development, regulatory reporting, and compliance, aimed at enhancing reporting efficiency, standardizing data, and enabling advanced analytics.

The acquisition is designed to expand Regnology’s Regulatory Supervision Hub (RSH) and bolster its international presence in the banking sector. BR-AG’s innovative ATOME suite, which includes the widely used ATOME Matter for taxonomy management, will integrate into Regnology’s offerings, enhancing supervisory capabilities and digital transformation efforts.

This strategic move will benefit regulators and banks alike by adding advanced tools for Data Point Model (DPM) taxonomy design and sharing, improving regulatory data model expertise, and leveraging modern API-based technology for seamless integration. The combined capabilities will enhance operational efficiency and adaptability in regulatory processes.

BR-AG has a strong presence with nearly 20 regulators and 45 financial institutions, extending the combined reach to nearly 100 regulatory bodies globally. The integration promises to forge a seamless, real-time bridge between regulators and the regulated entities, fostering a new era of collaboration and efficiency.

“Beyond enhancing our RegTech expertise, BR-AG’s impressive track record of partnering with regulators to set new industry benchmarks will enable us to enrich our RSH capabilities from semantic data modelling to data collection and AI-driven real-time data analysis. This underscores our commitment to the SupTech community to streamline the time and cost of providing effective supervision, with flexible components that regulators can adopt and customize,” said Linda Middleditch, chief product officer at Regnology.

“The dynamic nature of regulatory technology calls for ongoing innovation. Partnering with a like-minded organization strengthens our ability to stay ahead with these trends and deliver cutting-edge solutions addressing the evolving need of the industry,” Karol Minczyński, president of the management board at BR-AG, noted.

“By combining BR-AG’s 40+ regulatory data models with Regnology’s industry-leading solutions, we are forging a seamless, real-time bridge between regulators and the regulated—ushering in a new era of collaboration and efficiency,” Michal Piechocki, chair of the supervisory board at BR-AG, added.
