Checkbook, a leading all-in-one payments platform, has announced the successful expansion of its Global Push-to-Card feature, powered by Visa.

This development strengthens Checkbook’s mission to provide seamless, real-time payment solutions for businesses worldwide.

The expansion is driven by the increasing demand for fast, secure international payments. Businesses require efficient ways to manage cross-border transactions, especially for freelancer payments, gig economy workers, and industries reliant on quick fund disbursement.

The newly expanded Global Push-to-Card service allows Checkbook customers to use Visa Direct to deposit funds into bank accounts linked to over 4bn debit cards in real time.

This enhancement improves cash flow management for businesses, enables immediate payments to freelancers and gig workers, and ensures faster settlements for sectors like insurance claims and consumer refunds.

The service is currently live in multiple countries, with plans to expand further in 2025. The integration with Visa Direct’s network significantly strengthens Checkbook’s international footprint, offering businesses a reliable and scalable solution for global payouts.

One of the early adopters of Checkbook’s Global Push-to-Card feature is TipHaus, a company providing automated solutions for tip pooling, tip distribution, and tip sharing.

The real-time payment capability is especially beneficial in the service industry, where instant access to earnings is crucial.

TipHaus CEO Leif Magnuson praised the new feature, stating, “Checkbook’s push-to-card payments have revolutionized the way we manage payouts, providing real-time solutions that scale effortlessly.”

PJ Gupta, CEO and Founder of Checkbook, highlighted the significance of the collaboration with Visa Direct: “Our collaboration with Visa Direct has enabled us to offer customers unparalleled access to fast, secure international payments. The success we’ve seen with clients so far underscores the growing demand for efficient cross-border payment solutions. We’re excited to continue driving innovation in this space.”

Visa also emphasised the importance of the partnership. Yanilsa Gonzalez-Ore, SVP, Money Movement North America at Visa, said: “In today’s world, both in business and daily life, speed and transparency have become essential expectations rather than luxuries.

“This has supercharged demand for real-time payments across all business segments, and Checkbook’s new Global Push-to-Card feature, which delivers real-time payouts into accounts through debit cards, is a great example.”
