Ciphr, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and benefits software, has launched a new cloud-based payroll system designed to streamline payroll processes for businesses across the UK.
The platform offers a range of innovative features, including real-time calculations, retrospective parallel runs, automated backpay adjustments, and rolled-up holiday pay calculations, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Built specifically for payroll professionals, the new system is an advanced iteration of the Shape payroll technology, which Ciphr acquired last year. Featuring a refreshed user interface, intuitive dashboards, and an improved user experience, Ciphr payroll eliminates manual payroll tasks while reducing the risk of human error.
A key feature of Ciphr payroll is its real-time payroll engine, ensuring seamless synchronisation between an organisation’s payroll and HR data. The fully cloud-based system enables data to flow effortlessly across HR, finance, and workforce management systems, providing a more efficient and accurate payroll process.
The solution also offers key benefits such as single sign-on (SSO) for secure access, centralised data security, and uninterrupted updates with no downtime. The rapid implementation process is another standout feature, reducing the time required for parallel payroll runs by up to two months.
Automation is at the core of Ciphr payroll, helping organisations save time on backpay calculations, pro-ration, average earnings, holiday pay, and absence calculations. The system can also auto-generate enrolment letters, further simplifying compliance processes.
Julie Lally, managing director of payroll at Ciphr, said: “This is a really exciting product launch for Ciphr – and will be music to many payroll professionals’ ears. We’ve listened to what UK payroll professionals want and have focused on solving the challenges they face with their payroll technology.
“Ciphr payroll is a game-changer for the payroll profession, and we believe it sets a new standard for payroll software in the UK.
“It can be implemented at pace and integrates with other systems seamlessly through APIs. It delivers a beautiful user experience, maximising efficiency and removing manual processes. Its intuitive navigation and workflows, and robust reporting, are designed by payroll experts, for payroll experts, to boost productivity. So, every button makes sense, every task is streamlined, and every calculation is crunched in true real-time. The time savings are huge, enabling payroll teams to focus less on laborious admin and more on doing what they do best.”
The Ciphr payroll system is now available for payroll departments to demo. Over 1,000 organisations, including Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix, Lifetime Training, Bensons For Beds, Toyota Financial Services, Caring Together, and Crisis UK, rely on Ciphr for people management solutions.
