Yonder, a rewards credit card designed for modern explorers, has announced a strategic partnership with Griffin, the UK’s leading bank for FinTechs.
The collaboration introduces Yonder’s new Top-ups feature, aimed at helping customers unlock higher spending limits while continuing to enjoy the full benefits of credit, according to FF News.
The partnership leverages Griffin’s embedded bank accounts to deliver two major improvements: an account that allows Yonder customers to boost their spending power by adding their own cash to credit, and a streamlined payments infrastructure that automates previously manual reconciliation processes.
Yonder, known for its mission to help young professionals build a healthy relationship with credit, sees this collaboration as a way to offer more financial control and flexibility to its customers.
By enabling Top-ups, Yonder gives users the ability to manage their credit usage more effectively, without losing out on the rewards and protections associated with credit cards.
Griffin, as a bank built specifically to support FinTech companies, provides the infrastructure needed to enhance Yonder’s payment processes. Over time, the embedded accounts are expected to provide Yonder with valuable data insights, which could inform credit decisions such as increasing customer credit limits.
Tim Chong, co-founder and CEO of Yonder, said: “Our partnership with Griffin has enabled us to launch a really groundbreaking feature for our members – giving them the flexibility to boost their spending power while benefiting from all the rewards and protections that come with credit.
“Top-ups is another step towards our mission of empowering everyone to build financially rewarding lives, and this collaboration is a testament to our shared vision of innovation in payments.”
David Jarvis, co-founder and CEO of Griffin, added: “Sometimes the stars align and you get to collaborate in a way that takes a product to the next level in multiple ways at once. Griffin’s work with Yonder is one of those – it helps make the customer experience that much better in ways big (like supporting large purchases via top-ups) and small (like enabling Confirmation of Payee on customer repayments). We’re thrilled to be providing infrastructure that makes the UK’s best credit card even better.”
