Tietoevry Tech Services has been awarded a contract worth NOK 90m to implement a cloud-based solution for Kristiansand Municipality.
This strategic move aims to enhance the municipality’s financial, personnel, and payroll processes over the next decade.
Bård Jørgen Haaland, director of business systems at Tech Services Norway, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. “We are very pleased with the trust that Kristiansand Municipality has placed in us and look forward to helping them move to a modern cloud solution,” he said. The implementation of this system signifies a major shift towards improving operational efficiency and modernizing public sector services.
Terje Fjellvang, CFO of Kristiansand Municipality, highlighted the competitive edge Tietoevry Tech Services brought to the table, notably in finance and HR functionalities. “Tietoevry Tech Services demonstrated the best solutions in both finance and HR, and was also the best in terms of AI, cloud, and data capabilities,” Fjellvang noted.
The inclusion of artificial intelligence in the new system is particularly noteworthy. It’s designed to assist users in processing tasks such as invoice management, thereby improving efficiency and realizing cost savings from the outset. “When it comes to processing invoices, for example, the solution is designed to use AI to assist users in their work and improve overall efficiency. This streamlines the process and can quickly deliver savings from the start of a solution deployment,” Fjellvang elaborated.
This partnership not only enhances the municipality’s technological footprint but also sets a benchmark for other public entities looking to upgrade their systems.
