Singulr AI, an emerging leader in the AI security and governance sector, has secured $10m in a seed funding round.
Based in Palo Alto, California, and with a branch in Pune, India, the company has been making strides in developing advanced solutions to enhance enterprise AI security, according to Security Week.
The funding round was spearheaded by Nexus Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, and several industry executives, marking a strong start for the firm. The investment underscores the growing interest in technologies that safeguard digital assets and manage AI operations within corporate environments.
Singulr AI specializes in creating tools that enable businesses to navigate the complexities of AI implementation securely. The platform provides functionalities for discovering all generative AI applications within an organization, assessing their risk levels, and ensuring that only approved AI services are utilized according to strict governance standards.
The newly acquired funds are earmarked for further development of Singulr AI’s platform. The company plans to enhance its offerings to address the increasing challenges of data leakage, AI sprawl, and unregulated AI use — issues that are becoming more prevalent as AI technologies become more integrated into daily business operations.
In addition to the platform’s capabilities, Singulr AI is committed to expanding its reach and refining its technology to support the safe and efficient use of AI across various sectors. The founders, Shiv Agarwal and Abhijit Sharma, leverage their extensive experience in network virtualization and security from their days at Arkin Net, which was acquired by VMware, to guide Singulr AI’s strategic direction.
“Companies are experiencing explosive growth in AI adoption across employees, partners, and vendors – but this surge comes with mounting security risks and costs,” CEO Shiv Agarwal explained. He emphasized the necessity of an enterprise-grade solution to manage these emerging technologies effectively.
