Loop partners with Global-e to enhance global e-commerce returns

Loop, a leading commerce operations platform for Shopify brands, has announced a new partnership with Global-e, a global direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform.

The collaboration aims to enhance cross-border returns, providing merchants with a seamless and efficient system for handling international returns.

The partnership comes as merchants increasingly expand into global markets to drive growth. By integrating Loop’s returns portal with Global-e’s e-commerce infrastructure, the collaboration streamlines the returns process for both domestic and international transactions. This simplifies operations, reduces administrative burdens, and improves customer satisfaction while maximising revenue retention for businesses.

Loop is recognised for its industry-leading commerce operations solutions, helping Shopify brands optimise their customer journey from purchase to returns and exchanges. The platform integrates key features such as Workflows, Instant Exchanges, Offset, and AI-powered tracking to enhance efficiency and customer experience. With over 70.5 million returns processed and $2.2bn in retained revenue, Loop has become a critical tool for e-commerce merchants looking to refine their return strategies.

Global-e serves as a Merchant of Record for cross-border e-commerce, handling duties, taxes, and regulatory requirements to simplify global transactions. Its infrastructure helps retailers navigate the complexities of international commerce, ensuring compliance while reducing operational challenges.

Through this partnership, merchants benefit from streamlined returns from any location, improved return policy management with Loop’s Workflows feature, and increased revenue retention through Store Credit for international returns. Additionally, merchants gain enhanced reporting and insights for both domestic and international returns, as well as access to Global-e’s extensive global carrier network.

Loop CEO Hannah Bravo highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, “Our new collaboration with Global-e sets a new standard for optimising cross-border commerce.

“This partnership combines our industry-leading expertise in returns management with Global-e’s renowned global e-commerce capabilities, delivering a seamless solution for worldwide operations within a unified system. By consolidating global returns, merchants will be empowered to simplify operations, reduce inefficiencies and create a smoother experience for their customers no matter where they live.”

Matthew Merrilees, CEO North America for Global-e, also commented on the collaboration, saying, “The global e-commerce market offers exciting opportunities for brands to scale their business and boost revenue. At Global-e, we are dedicated to helping our retail clients provide seamless return options and implement return strategies that meet shoppers’ expectations while maintaining profitability for their brand.

“We are excited to integrate Loop into our comprehensive global e-commerce platform, offering merchants more flexibility and consistently delivering an enhanced experience, all while empowering them to drive sustainable growth.”
