Zurich-based FinTech amnis secures CHF 10m Series B to fuel global expansion

Zurich-based FinTech amnis, which specialises in simplifying cross-border finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has secured CHF 10m in a Series B funding round.

The investment was led by Swisscom Ventures, with participation from Lansdowne Investment Company Ltd. and Lendity, according to a report from Venture Lab. Lendity contributed CHF 2m through a non-dilutive debt agreement

The platform aims to streamline international transactions for SMEs, reducing costs and automating accounting processes. Over the past year, amnis has seen significant growth, with its payment volume more than doubling, driven by increasing demand for its debit card and expense-tracking solutions.

With the newly secured capital, amnis plans to expand into new markets and enhance its ecosystem by integrating third-party accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

The company also announced key changes to its Board of Directors. Peter Gerlach has been appointed as president, while Semih Kaçan has joined as a board member. Co-founders Robert Bloch and Philippe Christen will continue in their respective roles as COO and CFO.

Currently serving over 3,000 businesses across 35 countries, amnis plans further European expansion and the development of new e-commerce and embedded financial solutions.

amnis participated in the Venture Leaders FinTech programme in 2022. amnis CEO Michael Wüst said, “The Venture Leaders Fintech program in 2022 played a meaningful role in our journey. It’s programs like these that provide us with invaluable opportunities to connect, grow, and innovate – helping us accelerate our mission. Fast forward to today: We’ve launched new products, expanded into new markets, and continue to innovate in embedded finance and ERP integrations
