Coalition, the world’s first Active Insurance provider focused on preventing digital risk, has appointed Maha Virudhagiri as its first chief technology officer (CTO).
In this role, Virudhagiri will oversee engineering, IT, information security, data, and artificial intelligence (AI) efforts to enhance Coalition’s position in both insurance and cybersecurity.
Coalition offers a unique approach to insurance by proactively mitigating cyber risks before they occur.
The company provides businesses with advanced security tools, real-time threat intelligence, and risk management solutions to help prevent cyber incidents, ensuring comprehensive protection in an increasingly digital world.
Virudhagiri brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent nearly seven years at Tesla, where he led the Global Digital Experience organisation.
He managed a global team of engineers, product managers, and designers, contributing significantly to the company’s digital strategy. Prior to Tesla, he held leadership positions at Ancestry and Walmart Labs, where he built high-performing teams and scaled complex technology platforms.
In his new role, Virudhagiri will focus on advancing Coalition’s technology strategy, enhancing the scalability and accessibility of its security and insurance solutions. He will report directly to Joshua Motta, Coalition’s CEO and co-founder, as part of the company’s executive team.
