Taulia, a leading provider of working capital management solutions and a subsidiary of SAP, has partnered with Cornèr Group, a major Swiss financial services provider, to issue Virtual Cards to B2B customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
The collaboration will integrate Virtual Cards within the SAP ecosystem, enabling seamless and secure payment solutions for businesses.
The partnership aims to enhance visibility, streamline operations, and improve spend control for Cornèr Group’s B2B customers. By integrating with SAP ERP and related business applications, buyers will gain access to enhanced security, better spend management, and improved working capital efficiency. Suppliers, in turn, will benefit from timely and reliable payments, helping them strengthen their cash flow.
Taulia, a key player in working capital management, provides businesses with financial solutions that optimise cash flow and liquidity. The company, which is part of the SAP group, helps organisations unlock liquidity trapped in supply chains by offering early payment solutions, supply chain finance, and Virtual Cards.
Cornèr Group, one of Switzerland’s top issuers of payment card products, operates Cornèrcard, a leading brand for prepaid, credit, and debit cards. The financial services provider focuses on offering secure and innovative payment solutions that cater to both individual and business needs.
The launch of the Cornèrcard-Taulia Virtual Cards will take place in the second half of 2025. This initiative will offer businesses a flexible and efficient way to manage procurement and supply chain expenses while optimising administrative processes.
Danielle Weinblatt, chief product officer, Taulia, said, “At Taulia, we are committed to empowering businesses with innovative solutions that drive efficiency and financial flexibility. Our partnership with Cornèr Group marks an exciting step forward in expanding access to Virtual Cards, enabling businesses in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and other European countries to optimize spend management and improve working capital.
By combining our expertise in working capital solutions with Cornèr Group’s strong financial services network, we are delivering a seamless and secure payment experience that benefits both buyers and suppliers.”
Alessandro Seralvo, executive vice president, Cornèr Bank, said, “We are delighted to collaborate with an experienced and a successful partner like Taulia. The Taulia Virtual Card solution definitely sets new standards in the everyday life of the modern business world. For B2B customers, these cards are not only practical but also offer real added value on multiple levels. On one hand, such cards can be requested individually and in real-time to make a payment, and then used immediately. On the other hand, they optimize administrative processes within companies, providing enhanced transparency and control, in particular for procurement and supply chain management.”
Lucy Demery, SVP, head of Visa commercial solutions, Visa Europe, said, “Last year we announced Visa and Taulia’s collaboration would transform payments across the ecosystem, so it’s fantastic to see this commitment evolve into reality. Embedded finance and virtual cards are crucial pillars in creating best-in-class payments automation, delivering a more seamless and efficient experience, and I look forward to seeing the results bear fruit.”
The initiative underscores the growing importance of embedded finance solutions in B2B payments, with Virtual Cards playing a key role in modernising corporate payment processes.
