Centiglobe, a FinTech company specialising in cross-border payment infrastructure, has announced a new collaboration with Mastercard Move, Mastercard’s portfolio of global money movement solutions.
This partnership will enable Centiglobe’s members, which include regulated banks and payment service providers, to access Mastercard Move through a single integration, according to FF News.
The collaboration aims to expand the reach of Centiglobe’s blockchain-based payments platform, providing its members and their customers with broader access to international payment services.
By leveraging Mastercard Move, financial institutions using Centiglobe’s platform can facilitate near real-time cross-border transactions without requiring additional integrations.
Centiglobe is focused on reshaping global payments through its blockchain-based platform, powered by tokenised deposits.
The company provides financial institutions with the ability to optimise liquidity management, lower transaction costs, and mitigate counterparty risk.
Unlike traditional cross-border payment models that charge per transaction, Centiglobe offers a scalable platform with a fixed cost structure based on transaction volume, making it particularly beneficial for businesses with high transaction flows.
Mastercard Move delivers fast and secure money transfer solutions for banks, non-bank financial institutions, and their customers, both domestically and internationally.
The platform reaches more than 180 countries, supports over 150 currencies, and provides access to more than 95% of the world’s banked population.
Through this integration, banks and payment service providers using Centiglobe’s platform will gain access to a comprehensive range of money movement options, allowing them to scale their cross-border payment operations more effectively.
Centiglobe CEO Petter Sandgren said, “By integrating with Mastercard Move, we are enabling our members and their customers to expand their reach and access to global payments while jointly working with Mastercard to drive new growth opportunities. By leveraging our collaboration, a local payment provider can for example facilitate an international payment in near real-time without additional integrations.”
Pratik Khowala, global head of transfer solutions at Mastercard, added, “At Mastercard, we are committed to enabling fast, secure and accessible cross-border transactions for businesses and people. Our collaboration with Centiglobe provides a broader range of banks and payment service providers with seamless access to Mastercard Move, thereby extending the benefits of enhanced payment connectivity to even more businesses and consumers around the world.”
