KYC Portal CLM boosts compliance with real-time field-level audit trail

KYC Portal CLM has unveiled a powerful new feature designed to give compliance teams deeper control over client data: the Field-Level Audit Trail. This latest tool brings precision auditing capabilities to individual fields within onboarding and company forms, allowing teams to instantly track the full history of any change at the click of a button.

Every field amendment—whether triggered by a customer through the front end, automatically enriched by a third-party data source, or adjusted manually by a back-office staff member—is now captured in real time. This audit log includes the exact date and time of the change, the previous and updated values, and the identity of the party who made the update.

Accessing this information is now simple. A new icon next to each field within the form provides immediate access to a detailed audit log. The log reveals a full chronological breakdown of each field’s changes, enabling a transparent view of the data lifecycle that enhances trust and accountability across the compliance process.

The Field-Level Audit Trail significantly strengthens internal controls by clarifying when and how data changes occur. This transparency is especially valuable for organisations preparing for audits or facing regulatory inspections, allowing them to easily demonstrate compliance with frameworks like GDPR, FATF guidelines, and jurisdiction-specific AML rules.

Beyond compliance, the feature also supports risk mitigation by helping teams quickly identify errors—whether due to human input or flawed third-party data—and take corrective action. It reduces the need to comb through entire application records, saving time and minimising operational friction.
