TravelPerk, the Barcelona-based business travel and expense management platform, has partnered with global travel insurer Battleface to embed medical and baggage coverage directly into its booking platform for European business travellers.
The integration addresses common gaps in corporate travel protection. According to TravelPerk, nearly 30% of surveyed business travellers had experienced medical issues during work trips that were not covered by existing policies, while 39% reported being unprotected in cases of lost luggage, according to InsurTech Insights.
“This new offering is our solution so they are covered for any eventuality – simple, reliable protection built directly into our platform, ensuring our customers can travel with confidence,” TravelPerk svp product Jon Hoar said.
Battleface CEO Sasha Gainullin said, “This partnership ensures that high-quality travel insurance is no longer an afterthought. The move reflects a broader trend in travel tech to embed insurance and risk management features directly into booking workflows, streamlining access and improving peace of mind for corporate travellers.
TravelPerk, which has raised $860m to date, serves prominent clients including Wise and Red Bull, and offers features such as flexible cancellation plans that allow up to 80% of costs to be recovered. Battleface brings flexible, embedded insurance backed by real-time support and tailored coverage for the modern business traveller.
