PayRetailers, a global payment processor focused on Latin America, has announced the acquisition of Amsterdam-based Celeris, a next-generation orchestration platform.
With this acquisition, PayRetailers is set to consolidate its position as a comprehensive full-stack payment platform. The integration of Celeris’ technology will enable streamlined backend operations such as reconciliation, reporting and financial consolidation. The platform’s ability to combine intelligent routing, real-time analytics, and automated reconciliation is expected to improve authorisation rates across payment providers, boosting conversion and sales for partners.
Celeris’ infrastructure supports more than 75 acquiring partners through a single integration, offering businesses easy access to a broad range of global payment solutions. It caters to both direct-to-merchant services and white-labelled solutions for PSPs, banks and FinTech firms. The company’s modular platform is particularly suited to high-growth sectors like online retail, digital media, streaming, and subscription services.
This strategic move allows PayRetailers to embed Celeris’ capabilities directly into its LatAm-focused ecosystem. It is expected to strengthen the company’s offering in credit card processing—a crucial payment method in Latin America—and broaden its reach into new verticals and geographic markets. The deal also aims to support regulated industries requiring high levels of compliance and security.
PayRetailers CEO Juan Pablo Jutgla said, “This acquisition marks a significant step forward in our strategy to build a best-in-class, full-service payments ecosystem. By bringing Celeris’ orchestration and credit card capabilities in-house, we’re able to offer our clients a more seamless, global solution through a single integration. As we continue to leverage our deep regional expertise and proven track record to scale across Latin America, these capabilities will be essential in enabling our customers to move faster, operate smarter and access new markets with confidence.”
Celeris founder and CEO Sunil Jhamb added, “This acquisition marks a super exciting new chapter for Celeris. Building Celeris has been a journey of a lifetime. Thanks to my rockstar team, valued customers, and trusted partners who believed in me and made Celeris a success! We always wanted to make online payments more secure, highly scalable, and user-friendly. Joining forces with PayRetailers will allow us to scale that vision further.”
