COVU, an AI-native insurance servicing platform, has acquired Mitchell Insurance Agency, a family-run business based in Roseville, California.
This marks COVU’s sixth acquisition in its Rolling Thunder campaign to expand its tech-powered growth across the state, according to FF News.
The deal supports COVU’s strategy to grow its AI-driven platform by partnering with well-established agencies. Financial details were not disclosed.
Mitchell Insurance is known for personalised service and strong ties with carriers like Mercury and Safeco. The agency manages both personal and commercial lines with high revenue retention, adding scale and stability to COVU’s California footprint.
COVU’s remote-first AI platform improves efficiency while maintaining the customer experience. The acquisition strengthens COVU’s commitment to helping agencies modernise, grow, or exit on their terms.
“Mitchell is exactly the kind of partner that strengthens our platform,” said Ali Safavi, CEO of COVU. “They’ve built a strong, loyal customer base and trusted carrier relationships over many years. We’re not here to change that—we’re here to support and elevate it, using the tools and infrastructure we’ve designed to help agencies thrive in the future.
“We’ve built a platform that respects what makes agencies great—relationships, reputation, and care. With Mitchell, we’re deepening our commitment to California and proving that AI-native doesn’t mean agency-less—it means future-ready.”
