SentinelOne, the AI-native cybersecurity leader, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Prompt Security, a company specialising in securing AI in runtime to prevent AI-related data leakage and protect intelligent agents.
The move aligns with SentinelOne’s goal to expand its AI-native Singularity Platform and secure the growing enterprise use of generative (GenAI) and agentic AI.
The acquisition is designed to give chief information security officers (CISOs) and IT leaders greater control over AI adoption, enabling safe usage at scale while opening new growth opportunities for SentinelOne and its partners. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
SentinelOne provides AI-powered endpoint, cloud, data, and security operations (SecOps) capabilities that detect and respond to cyber threats at machine speed. Prompt Security offers an AI defence platform that allows organisations to see all GenAI usage, secure and control employee AI activity, eliminate shadow AI risks, and protect against prompt injection and sensitive data leaks.
Prompt Security’s platform integrates across browsers, desktop applications, and APIs, giving organisations observability, policy-based enforcement, and automated protection in real time. It complements SentinelOne’s endpoint platform, creating a unified security layer for GenAI that covers major large language model (LLM) providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, as well as self-hosted models. Additional protections include MCP gateway security across more than 13,000 known servers, stopping malicious prompts and data exfiltration at the point of interaction.
According to SentinelOne, the acquisition strengthens its position in securing the modern enterprise from endpoint to cloud, identity, and now AI. The company was the first pure cybersecurity vendor to integrate agentic and GenAI capabilities into its platform, helping security teams speed up threat detection, investigation, and remediation.
