Authvia, a US-based provider of conversational commerce and text-based payment technology, has integrated Visa Direct, Visa’s real-time money movement platform, into its TXT2PAY® solution.
The partnership aims to expand the scope of text-based financial transactions, allowing businesses across multiple sectors to offer real-time disbursements with greater ease and security, according to FF News.
By integrating Visa Direct into TXT2PAY, Authvia is providing businesses with a modernised payout channel that eliminates reliance on cheques, apps, or portals.
Authvia specialises in payment solutions powered by messaging, offering its patented TXT2PAY platform which enables consumers to make or receive payments within familiar SMS threads. The firm focuses on delivering secure, frictionless digital commerce experiences.
Visa Direct, meanwhile, is Visa’s flagship real-time payments platform, supporting money movement across 180 markets. It allows businesses and financial institutions to send payments to consumers quickly, securely, and directly to eligible Visa cards.
Through this collaboration, Authvia’s TXT2PAY will now support real-time outbound disbursements to eligible Visa cards in selected markets.
The integration allows companies in industries such as healthcare, insurance, automotive services, and gig economy platforms to issue refunds, reimbursements, insurance settlements, or incentive payments within a single messaging flow. Customers can verify identity, confirm details, and receive funds in real time without leaving the conversation.
Authvia highlighted that this move underscores its commitment to transforming payouts for modern businesses, while Visa Direct strengthens its role as a global leader in real-time money movement.
Chris Brunner, Authvia founder and CEO said, “Whether it’s sending a co-pay reimbursement to a patient, returning a deposit to a customer, or disbursing funds to a technician in the field, businesses need modern payout solutions that are fast, secure, and frictionless. Our collaboration with Visa Direct reinforces our commitment to eliminating payment delays and delivering next-generation experiences through messaging.”
